Ethics Policy

ETHICS:

As this is a serious objective review site, we need an ethics policy. Here goes:

If you send me a free copy of your product, I will probably review it, and my review will point out that I got a free copy of it. This is only fair: my user experience will be based on "got this for free" and will not necessarily reflect those who spent three thousand dollars on it, which is what I assume it will retail for, whatever it is.

I also take bribes. They will not reflect the quality of the review, as my long time readers (that's 20 minutes as of when I'm writing this) will attest, but I will put a mention of how much I got to do the review at the bottom of the review. Don't hold back! People will be impressed by how serious a corporation/product producer you are by how much you're spending on reviews.

I'd say that I won't review a friend's product without saying so, but I'm two reviews in and I've already broken that policy. But I'll probably mention it in the future? I can guarantee I won't give it a higher score because of this, though. I'm totally ethical like that.
